My question is: Do Buddhas dream?

Of course, Buddhas dream! All Buddhas dream. They dream of liberating all beings from their sufferings. That’s the great dream, the great desire of all Buddhas.

“All dreams are expressions of a desire”, Freud said. The dream of a Buddha is an expression of the desire of Bodaishin, to help all beings, to contribute to their liberation from suffering. That’s a dream that goes beyond all other dreams. The Buddhas work, live after live, that this dream becomes reality.

When we take the four vows of the Bodhisattva, we express our dream. Our dream, to help all beings, to end all causes of suffering, to deepen and to realize all teachings of the Buddha and to realize the way of awakening with all beings and for all beings.

That’s the dream of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
